Returning to CYC at about 19:00 on the high tide.

Please contact Training Officer Dave Wheatley if you would like to take part.

Pacific Oyster invasion

The Pacific Oyster is an invasive non native species that out competes native species and in large numbers can form intertidal reefs. These reefs have sharp protruding shells that will easily damage inflatable dinghies, bare feet or paws. They are a particular problem in the Yealm, Fowey and in St John's Lake, this "bash" is to try and prevent a similar problem developing in Plymouth.

All volunteers are welcome, you will get information about how to monitor, record and smash pacific oysters.
